“The basic designing concept was to build a house of a size that is necessary in a given life period. The house should be easily expandable and re-convertible. Its materials and behaviour should be restrained, but with minimized engineering it should know everything that a passive house with up-to-date technical parameters knows. Summer heat is kept outside not by air conditioning but by the house itself with its wide eaves and thick walls. Deciduous plants around the house and appropriate orientation also helps. The building materials are recycled: reused roof tiles, recycled newspaper insulation, reused brick walls and three layer glazing.”
