“The stations are actually 20-25 metre high boxes, the walls of which are supported by huge reinforced concrete beams, not for the sake of aesthetics but because of the huge ground pressure. Undressed functionality, which is also emphasized by visible concrete surfaces, creates impressive sight. All this becomes even more natural by letting in sunlight through glassy domes in front of the university in Fővám Square. The station is a huge underground public space on the scale of the Boulevard above.”
