"While walking in the villa park one comes through unexpected experiences. As the visitor moves about, the rows of the villas sometimes close like an accordion and create a huge single space-wall, while they sometimes open and the villas become separate and solitary. The imposing alleys between the rows are a bit rigidly closed by the main building although the road goes through the building. The fact that in the opposite direction the alleys run towards the open water surface and the endless horizon makes an architectural counterpoint. The rich greenness of the park and the turquoise colour of the lake is sharply contrasted to the vivid redness of the villas. This slightly tense and vibrant colouring animates the low-key forms of the buildings and provides the complex with cheerful and vivacious spirit." (Péter Haba)
